TWIN FALLS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS:
In 2020, the Twin Falls County Commissioners developed a master plan that included moving the Juvenile services to our County West facility and a large portion of our Sheriff’s Office to the Wright Avenue facility. The goal was to efficiently utilize existing County land and infrastructure to solve the inmate overcrowding issues within the Jail. All of which creates safety concerns for both staff and inmates. We are in the beginning phase of a five phase construction project, with the first step being a 160 bed facility at the Wright Avenue location, projected to begin in 2025. The current jail, next to the Twin Falls County Courthouse, will be maintained for the foreseeable future
