Lincoln County’s Youth Center raffles off a house
10 organizations to benefit
RICHFIELD – Lincoln County kids want you to spring into a new home.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Lincoln County Youth Center is raffling off a new home with
the proceeds benefiting not just the youth center, but also 9 other Lincoln County organizations
that support the youngest of Lincoln County’s residents.
“It’s an incredible opportunity,” said Rebecca Wood, Lincoln County Commission Chairman and
co-founder of Lincoln County’s youth center. “We will be able to help every child in Lincoln
County.”
Proceeds of raffle tickets, which sell for $50 each or $100 for three, will benefit The Lincoln
County Youth Center, the county’s swimming pool, two libraries, two food banks, Lincoln County
Connections–the transportation service–and will pay down lunch debt for students at all three of
the county’s schools.
The house is a brand new 3-bedroom, 2 bath modular home and the prize includes
$30-thousand to set up the home on your land or location. The huge donation was facilitated by
The Shoshone Project, a Blaine County-based organization which works to build connections
with residents of Lincoln County, where much of Blaine County’s workforce lives.
“We were so honored by the donation, we wanted to make sure we could benefit as many of
Lincoln County’s children as possible,” Wood said. “With this raffle, we think we can benefit
nearly all of them in some way.”
The goal is to raise a minimum of $600,000, Wood said. They will draw a ticket for the house
after at least 15,000 tickets have sold or the end of the calendar year. However, they’ll also host
weekly drawings every Friday for merchandise and prizes.
Tickets can be purchased online at Lincoln County Youth Center’s website. They’ll be available
for purchase in Lincoln County at various locations. Call the center at 208-421-6280 to find the
nearest location. Purchases must be made within the state of Idaho, but winners do not need to
be in the state.
